Capital can clone UI. It cannot skip honest scoring, consent, and a clear compliance path. Here is how this demo behaves — and what we are building toward for commercial expansion.
Privacy · security practices · data retention · SOC 2 roadmap — trust before distribution.
Compliance & trust stubs
Privacy practices (stub)
This demo is local-first. Household, policies, intents, and quotes persist in browser localStorage — nothing is uploaded to a Parity server in this build.
- · No ad trackers or third-party marketing pixels in the demo shell.
- · Waitlists and growth attribution stay on-device until a future backend.
- · Export JSON / CSV may contain what you typed — treat downloads like documents.
- · Use /app/privacy to export household JSON or delete all parity_* keys (with confirm).
Security practices (stub)
Next.js ships CSP, clickjacking denial, nosniff, referrer, and permissions policy on non-embed routes. Threat model is local-first — no multi-tenant auth server yet.
- · HTTP security headers on all app routes (embed widget excepted for iframe partners).
- · No production secrets, API keys, or shared PII store in this demo.
- · Do not enter real SSNs, full PANs, or live credentials.
- · PWA service worker is shell-only — no offline insurance sync.
Data retention notes
Retention is browser-scoped in v1. When a hosted backend lands, retention windows will be documented per data class with deletion paths.
- · Demo: data lasts until you clear storage or reset the demo — no server TTL.
- · Planned: waitlist / CRM rows with configurable retention + export/delete.
- · Planned: audit logs for consent and agent contact accept/decline.
- · Health education figures remain educational models — see HEALTH_DATA honesty.
SOC 2 roadmap (stub)
Commercial expansion expects a trust package buyers can diligence. This roadmap is illustrative — not an attestation or timeline commitment.
- · Phase 0 (demo): local-first posture + public trust/privacy/security pages.
- · Phase 1: hosted auth, encrypted at rest, access logging, vendor inventory.
- · Phase 2: Type I readiness (policies, control evidence stubs).
- · Phase 3: Type II observation window + customer DPA / subprocessors list.
Legal & compliance links

How we score parity
We compare normalized coverage dimensions line-by-line — limits, deductibles, cost-share — with higher weight on liability and catastrophic layers. Premium savings never override an exposure regression. Verdicts: better & cheaper, same for less, better but costlier, increases exposure, or incomparable.
Demo vs estimated labels
Parsed fields come from structured demo uploads or explicit entry. Estimated fields are inferred (filename heuristics, advisor defaults) and labeled so you can confirm before trusting a score. Marketplace quotes in this build are illustrative — not live carrier binds.
Not insurance advice
Parity is an educational decision-support and demand-shaping product. It does not sell insurance, bind coverage, or replace a licensed agent or advisor. State rules, underwriting, and your facts control what you can buy.
Data stays local
This demo persists household, policies, intents, and quotes in your browser localStorage. Nothing is uploaded to a Parity server in this build. Clear site data or use Reset demo in Settings to wipe. Full inventory: /privacy.
Agent contact is opt-in
Agents see anonymized, quality-scored intents — not spray leads. You request review from compare/shop after seeing parity context. Agents request contact; you control the loop. No dialer priority ranking.
How leads work
Consumer protections for the agent marketplace — the anti-spam contract.
Opt-in only
Agents are notified only after you request review from compare or shop with parity context. No cold dialer auctions.
No data sold
This demo keeps household and intent data in your browser localStorage. Parity does not sell lead lists.
PII gated until accept
Agents see anonymized summaries (ZIP, line, timeline, budget, parity gap) — not name, email, or phone — until you accept a contact request.
Decline & expiry
Agents can decline; intents expire on a demo timer or manually. You track status on My requests.
FAQ
- Does Parity sell insurance?
- No. Parity is an educational decision-support and demand-shaping demo. It does not sell or bind insurance.
- How do leads work on Parity?
- Opt-in only. Your data is not sold. Agents see anonymized intent until you accept a contact request. Status lives on My requests.
- Where is my data stored in this demo?
- Household, policies, intents, and quotes persist in your browser localStorage. Nothing is uploaded to a Parity server in this build.
- Do you have SOC 2?
- Not yet. The trust center publishes an illustrative SOC 2 roadmap stub for commercial diligence — not an attestation.
Disclaimer
Parity is a demonstration product. Quotes, plans, networks, and savings figures are illustrative. No insurance is offered or sold through this interface. For real coverage decisions, consult a licensed professional and your carrier documents. Health plan estimates are educational models, not EOBs or guarantees of member cost.
Demo trust center only — posture notes describe this client-first build. Not a SOC 2 report, penetration-test attestation, DPA, or production compliance package.
